The key question addressed at the joint workshop was how best to assess the probabilities of occurrence of extremes in a changing climate.Its outcome are publshed in the WMO Guidelines document:

The report on the "Issues of scaling" meeting gives set of guidelines and suggestions for the modelling and observational communities that will hopefully make comparison easier in future, particularly with a view to the timeline of the IPCC’s Fifth Assessment Report (AR5). Download the report here.
